The cortadito is a Cuban espresso drink made with a shot of sweetened Cuban espresso "cut" with steamed milk, typically in equal proportions. Its name comes from the Spanish word for "cut," referring to the milk's dilution of the espresso. Variations outside of Cuba may use evaporated or condensed milk for a sweeter taste, though this differs from traditional Cuban preparation.
