TGI Fridays Nagoya Hisayaodori

The atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately, both the food and service were extremely disappointing. We had to call the staff multiple times just to get their attention. Even basic items like glasses, spoons, and forks were not provided unless we specifically asked for each one separately. As for the food, it was honestly a huge disappointment. Overall, a very disappointing dining experience despite the nice atmosphere.

As a foreign tourist in Japan, TGI Fridays isn't a place I would normally choose to visit—I usually prefer to explore the local cuisine. However, after a long day of walking and with my wife shopping at the Motherhouse store located just below, convenience won out. We were tired and just needed a comfortable place to sit and eat. We decided to have dinner here, and the experience was exactly what you would expect from the brand. The food was typical TGI Fridays standard—it was good, portions were decent, and it hit the spot for a hungry traveler. However, it was nothing to shout about. ​While the meal was satisfactory, I couldn't help but feel a bit of regret. For the price we paid, I would have much rather spent that money experiencing another authentic Japanese meal. ​Verdict: If you are exhausted, in the area (perhaps shopping at Motherhouse), and need a familiar, comfortable stop, this TGI Fridays works. But if you have the energy, you might find better value and excitement at a local Japanese spot nearby.
