I say this without hyperbole: The cheeseburger I had here was the best burger I have had in my entire life. I ordered it medium, and it was juicy, seasoned perfectly, and popping with flavor. The bearnaise sauce they poured over it just helped to make it even creamier and robust in flavor. It was amazing, and I'm sad that I will not have another chance to eat it any time soon. The cheesy fries that it came with were crispy and hot, and using cheese powder instead of drenching them in a cheese sauce is such a great idea that I don't know why other places haven't imitated it.
The fried olives were an unexpected surprise. I've had fried pickles before; they are almost played out in terms of popularity. But fried green olives were so dope. I loved the salty taste of the olives, and the occasional zing of a fried pickle was there to take the appetizer to another level.
My wife ordered the Harlem Experience, and it took us a minute to recognize that they put coconut milk into their grits. It was such a unique experience to try, and the combination of the grits with the super juicy chicken and a bit of the Chinese broccoli was perfect.
We also had the banana pudding, and the highest compliment I can give is that it was just like my mom makes it. It made me happy. It was excellent.
The cornbread was also a great bite, and the fermented butter was a great addition. The Upper West Side was amazing. The tartare was flavorful and perfectly chilled. We loved it.
I'm urging you to go here as soon as possible. Sarah was our server and she was magnificent. There were zero complaints about our time spent here. 10/10. No notes.
I first noticed this restaurant last year when we came to see “A Christmas Carol”. That night it was packed. This year, I decided to give it a try & take out my son for dinner after a wonderful Family Day at PAC. We enjoyed the experience. The popcorn shrimp & the smashed potatoes were good. I also enjoyed the salmon & the way it was served. This is food elevated to an art experience level. The restaurant has amazing vibes & the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stop by again next time we come for a show at PAC.

This had to be one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had in very long time…from the time I approached the restaurant, to the greeting to the table where I was seated, to the waiter, to the food everyone and everything was absolutely excellent. The waiter knew his/the menu, explained every item on the menu, the suggested pairing of the salad and side. The food tasted fresh…I feel this was the most important detail to be added and be made known…believe or not, I was stuffed…portions might look minimal, but they were filling…the cappuccino with the blueberry sorbet was delicious!

Metropolis is an elevated escape right inside the new PAC on Fulton (adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial plaza). The space is stunning—modern, elegant, and surprisingly spacious. Unlike many cramped FiDi happy hour spots, there are plenty of seating options here.
One important heads-up: Because it is inside the PAC, there is a security screening upon entering the building. Don't let this deter you—it’s quick, and honestly, it makes the venue feel a bit more exclusive.
We stopped in after work and ordered from the Happy Hour menu (5-7 PM). The cocktail list is solid ($10 drinks in this area is a steal), but the bar bites stole the show.
The Metropolis Burger is excellent and comes with a signature "M" branded onto the bun—a nice touch. The Berbere Fried Olives and Red Cornbread with goat's milk butter were perfect for sharing.
Definitely save room for the dessert; the presentation is fantastic.
The live DJ was the cherry on top. It was pleasantly unexpected and created a relaxing backdrop for unwinding—energetic but not too loud for conversation.
If you work near the World Trade Center and want a sophisticated place to decompress, this is it. Just be ready for the brief bag check!

Oh man I hope I do not get Internet beat up for this. Me and my best friend went to eat there for the first time. First things first I walked right past it haha. But I love the area so much the architecture! You can make a real day out of it. I appreciate the scanners once you walk in, you feel so safe. The DJ was playing really great R&B music. We ordered our food and got it pretty quick which I'm not complaining but it wasn't that good. Now we are the food because it was 9pm and no where else was open for us to grab something in the area without reservations. But the presentation was really nice. The food, not so good. And we were so hungry when we reached there. But everything was pretty bland. The steak, brussel sprouts and ect. Maybe because we came later in the night and the place was pretty empty. Maybe because we came on a Sunday as well. But overall we didn't really enjoy the food. It wasn't horrible just not flavorful, we had to ask for salt and pepper which we really do not like to do, it feels so rude 🥺.
