Albi

Hands down, one of the best dinner dates we’ve had. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere welcoming, and the food truly amazing. We started with the sfeeha and were blown away—it set a high bar, but every dish that followed was just as impressive, if not more so. The lamb awarma, mushroom hummus, and fattoush were all delicious. We finished the meal with a warm, sweet kunafeh that was absolutely perfect. A truly memorable night with flavors that I'll be cherishing for a long time.

Dining at Albi was a special experience. We were lucky enough to book the Hearth table and watched the kitchen interact and prepare the food. The warmth and hospitality of the staff, not just with the diners, but with each other was sincerely heartwarming. Every dish was amazing and there was not a single thing we disliked. My personal favorites were the crab, dates and lamb with cinnamon. This is probably one of my favorite Michelin experiences and Albi deserves all the accolades given to it and more. Edit to add: they had the best morning after goodie bag of all the Michelin restaurants!

I’ve dined at Albi four times over the past three years, and every visit has been exceptional. The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is always warm and on point. As someone who doesn’t eat pork or red meat, I’m always drawn to their seafood dishes, and they never disappoint. The trout tonight was excellent, and on past visits the branzino was absolutely incredible. The octopus is another standout and easily one of my favorites on the menu. You really can’t go wrong with the hummus, it’s a must every time. And don’t skip the batata harra! I also love their wine selection. We make it a point to try a Lebanese wine each visit, and it’s always a great complement to the meal. Albi is easily one of my favorite spots in DC!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and both the host and servers were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food truly stood out with its creativity and unique identity. Each dish felt thoughtfully crafted, offering a variety of flavors that made the overall dining experience memorable. In particular, the sfeeha, hummus, and pita were outstanding—something you simply can’t find elsewhere. The cocktails were also impressive, featuring subtle Middle Eastern influences that paired beautifully with the food and added another layer of enjoyment to the meal. That said, the BBQ lamb kebab was a bit too salty for us, which made it harder to fully appreciate the natural flavor of the meat. Overall, it was a delightful and distinctive dining experience.
